The college is affiliated to Rani Durgawati University, Jabalpur and is recognized by the UGC under section 2(f) and 12(b)of the UGC act of 1956. The college has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council in the year 2020 and was conferred B grade. The college is located is eastern region of Madhya Pradesh which coordinates at 23⁰ 49’ 22” N 80⁰48’45” E. It is 50km away from the MarbleCity Katni and is situated in the lap  of Kymore hills.

The college runs the courses through class room teaching in Arts, Science and Commerce Stream at UG level. The courses of Post Graduation are being run in Arts and Commerce discipline.
